For children there are so many wonderful safe clean beaches, big old Pohutukawa trees, bushwalks, streams, lagoons, rock pools and wide open spaces to play. Then there's the train ride at Driving Creek Railway and the Waiaua Waterworks down the 309 Rd, both designed to delight both young and old.
Each child is an individual with various likes and dislikes our pets and the petting zoohelp children to become familar with animals. The baby goats are always a hit as they are so very cute.
For the adventurous they love the swing out from the tree into open space.
Our place is child friendly. We do point out to children where they can go and what fences not to touch, as some are electric.
We also ask them not to go in the paddocks unattended by an adult.
We are happy to prepare meals for the whole family. For children 6-12yrs we charge their age, under 6yrs is free.
Otherwise there are child friendly restaurants and cafes in Matarangi, Whitianga and Coromandel. There are also some picnic tables set in beautiful surroundings.
Yes we have quite a selection of toys, books and games for children of all ages.
Yes we can find you a babysitter.
We have a porta cot and also a small bed for a child. The Kaiwanga room has two armchairs that fold out to make comfortable childrens beds. In the Oratia room the sofa also makes a comfortable bed for a child or adult.
