Our favourite tips
Mercury Bay is a beautiful coastline with the most amazing rock formations. What better way to see these but from the sea, Take a boat, there's fast for the thrill seekers or slow and relaxing.
A trip over to Opito and Otama beaches is also a must, as is a walk over New Chums Beach.

Riding

Twin Oaks was established in 1992 and started with 9 horses. There are now 25 horses involved with the trekking. The business is family owned and operated with the farm having been in the family for 20 years. The farm is 900 acres (354 hectares) and carries horses, cattle, sheep, deer, goats, pigs and is home to native birdlife including the Native Kereru (wood pigeon).
There is approximately 50 acres of Native Bush on the property, the rest is in grass with many fresh water streams running throughout the farm.
The Twin Oaks Riding Ranch is located 9 kilometres north of Whitianga on the main road to Kuaotunu and just 10 minutes from Kaeppeli's B&B.
